When inducted into the hackspace, a member will be intorduced to the rules of the organisation, provided with an RFID keyfob, and told how to get into the building.
Members are encouraged to pay extra if they feel that they are getting more out of their membership than they are putting in. This is not enforced, we trust our membership to act with integrity and support our community as they can.
¶ Standard - £17.50 per month

- For people who do not use the facilities, but wish to support the organisation
- No access to tools or facilities
¶ Startup and Self Employed - £35 per month
- Membership tier is designed for micro-businesses or self-employed individuals who wish to use Cheltenham Hackspace as a regular place of work.
- Access Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Outside of these hours at the discretion of Cheltenham Hackspace directors.
- Cost is per person per month, in addition to any existing membership fees.
- Capacity: Limited to a maximum of 4 slots total at any given time across all members on this tier.
- Approval Process: Membership is approved on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Cheltenham Hackspace.
- People under the age of 18 are free to attend the Hackspace, provided that they are accompanied by a paying member.
- Under 18s may not be left alone while using the space. The supervising member must be in the same room at all times.
- Under 18s are forbidden from using any tool marked as dangerous.
- Each member is permitted to supervise up to 2 under 18s at a given time.
Every member is given an RFID tag which grants them access to the building 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The door does keep a log of who is entering for security reasons, but these are only monitored when needed.
